Sheikh Saud bin Mohammad Al-Thani, the former Minister of Culture and Heritage in Qatar, was in charge of developing libraries and museums. His legacy consists of five existing and planned museums: the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Library, the Natural History Museum, a Photography Museum and a museum for traditional textiles and clothing. 

Alongside these projects, he also designed a private art museum with the architect Jean Nouvel, for which DSP DOHA had the honor of providing the stainless steel mesh exterior and roof cladding.
