The DSP DOHA team is delighted to announce that it has won a substantial bid with IMAR Trading & Contracting to provide extensive metalworks alongside glass and glazing works for the iconic Katara Towers hotel in Lusail.
DSP DOHA’s involvement in the project will be a three-phased approach and will encompass the engineering, fabrication and installation of all metal and glass finishes. At the time of commission, some 34 different glass and mirror types and 20 different metal finishes will be required.
The impressive hotel’s design is an architectural translation of Qatar’s coat of arms and represent the traditional scimitar swords – which cross each other at the lower end of the structure to create a podium, upon which 36 stories will be built on either side. The concept is being brought to life by German design engineers King Consult.
